For Invest International we are seeking a Director HR to drive the people strategy in line with the business strategy. 

Organisation

Invest International is a Dutch state-owned company founded in 2021 by the Dutch government, aiming to address global challenges through innovative solutions from Dutch businesses. It operates on a hybrid business model, blending public funding with private entrepreneurship to invest in projects that promote sustainability and development cooperation worldwide. 

The company provides financing solutions for startups, SMEs, and corporates, focusing on various sectors such as agri-food, energy & climate, healthcare, manufacturing, and water & infrastructure. Additionally, it supports public infrastructure projects in developing countries and partners with venture or growth capital funds to foster sustainable market leaders. 

Position

With a growing team of 160 professionals, Invest International has established itself as a stable partner for ambitious companies and governments. Now, it is seeking a Director of Human Resources (HR) to further professionalize and develop its teams and employees. The Director HR will be responsible for implementing the people strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy, fostering engagement, promoting collaboration, and facilitating continuous learning and development within the organization. 

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Director HR role aligns with the following criteria: 

• You are a solid HR professional with at least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in senior management positions.
• You have an academic work and thinking level and strong affinity with Invest International's mission and vision.
• Key qualifications include expertise in organizational psychology, training, and building learning organizations, as well as the ability to navigate complex environments, drive strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of diversity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
• You are an inspiring leader for the HR team with the ability to engage and motivate others to achieve the goals and values set by Invest International. 
• You are results-oriented and decisive, able to translate strategic HR goals into qualitative topics.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch are essential for this role.
