Quality Control Inspector

The role:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, possess excellent communication skills, and have previous experience in quality control.The Quality Control inspector is part of the Quality Control department and reports to the Quality Control Lead. The Quality Control department reports to the Manager SCM.You will be respnsible for: Responsible for performing supplier inspections, inland and abroad, as per inspection and test planInteracts actively with the supplier and communicates status within the project teamEnsures compliance with the purchase order, both for SAS-Hytop Production as well as subcontracted workInspects relevant product features and documentation of fabricated parts and constructions against the purchase order, using order-related documents (drawings, additional requirements) and (measurement) toolsExecutes, at incoming goods at Royal IHC location, all activities for inspection conform the requirements of purchase orders, in order to ensure quality and progress.Supports with review of documents like ITP, MRB etc.Ensures that equipment, tools and Personal Protection Equipment are properly used at suppliers and are in the proper conditionJob requirements:Vocational education (MBO).Affinity for heavy machinery and/or offshore industry.Min. 3 years’ experience in the field of inspection of welding, materials, fabrication, preservation, rotating equipment.Holds a min. level 2 for visual weld inspection and & min. level 1 for coating inspection (or is willing to educate).Good knowledge of production processes, manufacturing, sequence of manufacturing and coating techniques.Able to read, interpret and understand mechanical/hydraulic/electrical drawings and specifications.Knowledge of Word, Excel, ERP and PDM software.Familiar with the use of measuring tools (tolerances, alignment, adjustment).Good communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.Good knowledge of relevant standards, specifications, codes and regulations.Experience in working with inspection agencies e.g. Lloyds, BV and DNV.You are willing to travel to various supplier locations worldwide.Please note that only candidates with valid EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates.* These requirements give a direction to the profile we are looking.
