Product Owner

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Innovation team. As a Product Owner, you will play a central role in the development and evolution of our advanced hardware and software platform FancomOne and other challenging product development projects.

What does your job look like?

As a Product Owner, you act as the "champion of the product" by linking Fancom’s business objectives with customer needs.

• You consistently generate innovative ideas to enhance the customer journey, prioritizing improvements into manageable, value-adding components.
• Your strength lies in articulating your vision and providing a comprehensive roadmap for adding value to our products on short and long-term.
• Aligning the product vision with our state-of-the-art platform, you define clear requirements for features and ensure prioritization and coordination.
• You hold the final decision on feature approvals, establishing a singular point of accountability.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating risks, addressing critical challenges, and making necessary trade-offs are crucial to maintaining product development momentum.
• Actively looking for end-user feedback ensures continuous enhancement and alignment with customer desires.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of product managers, project manager, system architect, software developers and mechatronics engineers, ensures seamless communication and effective implementation and validation of features.
• Regular stakeholder communication, providing updates, seeking feedback, and optimizing overall product performance, is integral to your role.

This role prioritizes a customer-centric approach and drives operational efficiency, enhancing the competitiveness and success of our products in the market.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Product Ownership Experience

You have a proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally in a complex technical environment.

Communication Skills

You have a good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, and mastering the Dutch language is a strong advantage. In addition, you have excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with a diverse, international team and stakeholders.

Strategic thinking

You have the ability to align product development with overarching business goals and industry trends.

Focus on quality

You have a keen eye for ensuring the highest levels of quality, stability, and extensibility in product features.

Other terms and conditions

Agile methodologies

You have experience working in Agile development environments, contributing to iterative development cycles.

Domain knowledge

Familiarity with agricultural automation or related domains is a plus.

Technical insight

Basic knowledge of software development, related technologies, tools, and methodologies to facilitate effective collaboration with the development team.
