Job Description: Senior Consultant in Medical Microbiology 100% permanent position
The Department of Microbiology at Innlandet Hospital Trust, located in Lillehammer, has a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as a Senior Consultant in Medical Microbiology.

Physicians in spesialization in Medical Microbiology with a short time left until completion of specialization will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• General microbiological diagnostics within all areas of microbiology
• Routine tasks related to the department's operations. Consultation, collaboration with other departments internally at the hospital, and with primary healthcare services are part of the job duties.
• Participation in meetings on strategy and professional assessments.
• Training and guidance of physicians in spesialization (LIS) and other professional groups.
• Participation in professional councils and committees.

There may be an opportunity to be appointed as the medical responsible senior consultant. You will then be an advisor to the department head and participate in the management group. This will be assessed in the interview process.

Qualifications:

• Specialist in medical microbiology
• Norwegian authorization and proficiency in Scandinavian languages.
• Experience in research is desirable.
