Innovation to the max

Over 20 years of sustained R&D brought us the development of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. As the only supplier of this advanced technology, we’re responsible for continuing to develop and perfect these complex systems. One example of this complexity is how EUV light is generated. First, a 30-kilowatt laser fires at tin droplets 50,000 times per second, hitting each droplet twice. The laser vaporizes the tin droplets, creating a plasma hotter than the surface of the sun. This interaction emits EUV light at a wavelength of 13.5 nanometers. And all of this takes place in a vacuum-sealed system.

From patterning nanometer-sized structures on a microchip wafer to creating light using lasers and liquid metal, the work we do can be hard to wrap your head around. Yet, every day around the world, ASML teams are solving these seemingly impossible problems and pushing technology to new limits.

QuantWare

QuantWare is the leading commercial supplier of superconducting quantum processors and travelling wave parametric amplifiers. Our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer. We are extremely motivated to solve hard problems and make useful quantum computation a reality.

We strive to provide increasingly powerful and affordable quantum processors to organizations around the world and to enable them to build quantum computers for 1/10th the costs of competing solutions. Committed to an open architecture approach, QuantWare develops technology that will massively scale the number of qubits in a single processor, to create processors that can perform useful quantum computation in the near term.

What can you do as a physicist at QuantWare?

At QuantWare, you can thrive in several fields of expertise. We offer challenging roles within our teams in the R&D, fabrication or measurement of our quantum processors and paremetric amplifiers. The quantum processors and amplifiers you work on, will be utilised by our customers for cutting-edge research.

Be responsible for the package assembly of our quantum processors, characterise and improve our parametric amplifiers by performing advanced qubit measurement, or contribute to the development of next-generation superconducting amplifiers, with a focus on Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifiers (TWPAs). Work with vacuum technology, cryogenics, microwave engineering and quantum physics.

In any case, you will have ample opportunity to learn, experiment and develop your knowledge and skills while contributing to setting the course for the next generation of quantum processors.
