Tennis Manager/Head Coach

Tennis Manager/Head Coach Will be responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of the tennis programme.

Venue and Company Description

Our Tennis Centre is an eight court venue (four indoors and four outdoors) based on the beautiful grounds of Haileybury private school near the town of Hertford.

We have a junior programme of 400 active places per week.
It has an adult programme that coaches over a hundred people per week.
We have a tennis academy of over 50 players which produces players up to a national level and starts at the age of four upwards.
The facility has a rackets shop, reception area, café, fitness room, physio room and changing facilities. The indoor courts are also heated for a large portion of the winter months.

We work with most of the schools in the local community (approximately 50) and also teach the tennis teams within Haileybury school on a weekly basis.

This centre ticks all of those boxes for a coach who takes their job seriously and wants to be taken seriously as a highly skilled worker. It is dedicated to coaching and in turn our coaching team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Junior and Adult Development Programme
• Manage Mini Tennis and Junior Performance Academy
• Coaching Team Recruitment, Development and Timetabling
• Produce and Deliver the termly performance and development syllabus
• Manage Competitive Programme for Adult and Juniors
• Manage Adult Coaching Programme
• Manage Holiday Camp and Schools Programme
• Deliver on-court group and individual coaching for our members

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

We would like the successful candidate to have:

• Good management and organisational skills.
• Be able to lead a team of coaches and tennis assistants.
• Be personable with adults, children and parents.
• Be punctual, well-mannered and highly energetic.
