The Maintenance department of the Engine Factory is responsible for the availability and maintenance of machines and installations within Engine Factory of DAF in Eindhoven. They pursue Operational Excellence and supports the factory to the maximum in terms of safety, quality, delivery reliability and costs. Function description

You are responsible for analyzing and remedying malfunctions of the machines in the engine factory.

• Continuous improvement of machine controls;
• Troubleshooting industrial PC systems, Ethernet networks, profibus networks and CNC/PLC controllers;
• Installing machine controls and ensuring a transfer to production and the Technical Service;
• You provide technical support on the use of new machines and installations.

You work in a team of approximately 4 Mechanics and report to the Supervisor Maintenance.

Function Requirements

• Education on MBO level 2, 3, or 4 (e.g. Electrical Installations, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Industrial Products and Systems);
• You are also prepared to follow the necessary specialist training;
• Good knowledge of PC systems, Ethernet networks and bus systems (profibus, con);
• Additional courses in the field of CNC, PLC;
• Knowledge of Dutch or English or German language;
• Communicative, flexible, problem-solving and independent;
• You are flexible with regard to working hours. You work in 3 shifts and with some regularity on a voluntary basis on weekends. Waiting shifts are no problem for you.
