Operational Excellence Manager Fleet Services

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Fleet Services department heads and Regional Fleet Managers to identify and prioritize optimization needs. Your leadership will extend to managing subject matter experts, overseeing research, advising on best practices, and driving operational excellence implementation. Working with the change manager, you'll ensure smooth change preparation and implementation. Effective communication is key; you'll maintain transparent channels with ship crews, clients, and regulatory bodies, keeping all stakeholders informed about operational improvements. Your leadership will align efforts to drive various projects, and as a Subject Matter Expert, you'll manage focal points, analyse fleet performance, advise on improvements, and provide expertise.

Working closely with the business controller, you'll develop KPIs and performance measurement systems for ship management processes, regularly monitoring and reporting on metrics. You'll be responsible for executing optimization projects led by subject matter experts in the Operational Excellence Team, collaborating with change managers as needed.

Your role

You drive the different projects by aligning the efforts of the different expert roles;
You identify areas within the ship management processes where operational efficiency can be enhanced;
You analyse operational costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining the quality of services. This can involve optimizing fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and crew management;

You utilize data analytics and technology to monitor and analyse fleet performance. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and proactively address issues;

You research and establish technical standards for the Fugro fleet;
You compare Fugro's ship management practices with industry benchmarks and best practices. Continuously strive to achieve, exceed and set the industry standards;

You prepare budgets and business proposals for Operational Excellence optimization proposals.

Your trackrecord

You hold at least a bachelor's degree in Business Management / Business Administration;
You have +/- 10 years of experience, bringing a robust background in the Marine industry, with strong Business or Process Management related background;

You have previously worked as a Fleet Manager, Technical Asset Manager or equal in the offshore industry;
You can display strong organizational and time management skills. With the ability to work well with people around the world in various divisions of Fugro;

You have excellent English language skills both written and oral.
